Warwick Wright is a qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the management of upper limb conditions including the hand.

Mr Wright has extensive experience in managing rotator cuff disease and shoulder arthritis with a special interest in managing complex instability of the shoulder in younger patients. He has pioneered the development of new techniques for treating basal arthritis of the thumb.
Warwick continues active research in shoulder arthritis management options including the development of cutting edge technologies which prolong the functional lifespan of shoulder prostheses. He has ongoing and published work in hand anatomy and hand arthritis surgery.
He supervises an AOA accredited Upper Limb fellowship for qualified Orthopaedic Surgeons. Warwick teaches at undergraduate, post graduate and senior consultative level both locally and internationally. He is regularly invited to speak at National and International conferences.
Currently Warwick has appointments at Monash Health, Moorabbin Campus and has been a Honorary Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Gippsland Campus. He is currently the Secretary of the Victorian Shoulder and Elbow Society and has been a visiting Professor at Stanford University, California.
Mr Wright’s private practice is based at Malvern Orthopaedic Centre with appointments at The Avenue Private, Glenferrie Private, St Francis Xavier Cabrini Hospital, Malvern and Waverley Private Hospital.
Mr Wright performs over 600 surgical cases a year. Warwick has a particular interest in treating complex upper limb cases for Athletes, Performing Artists and Musicians.
